Supporting your growth from emerging clinician to skilled professional.
Supervision for Residents & Interns
If you’re an emerging therapist who cares deeply about your clients and is eager to grow in both skill and confidence, I’d love to support you on your journey toward licensure.
My supervision style is collaborative, encouraging, and focused on helping you develop both as a clinician and as a person. I believe in keeping the client’s welfare at the heart of our work, equipping you to help clients move through challenges without keeping them stuck in “victim mode,” and making sure you have the tools to care for your own mental health along the way.
I offer supervision for residents and interns working toward licensure {include specifics about what kind of licensure here??} who primarily serve teens and adults. You don’t have to share my Christian faith, but I welcome supervisees who are respectful of different worldviews. Your caseload would likely be either a mix of in-person appointments (in our Haymarket, VA office) and virtual, or fully virtual, depending on your preference.
You can expect a mix of case consultation, skill-building, ethical guidance, and feedback on documentation. We’ll explore your clinical questions, strengthen your confidence, and make sure you feel supported as you grow. We will negotiate supervision format, frequency, and payment structure on a case-by-case basis.
Qualities I Value:
A blend of confidence and compassion
Client care as the top priority
Commitment to your own mental health and professional growth
Timely, thorough documentation (notes completed within 24 hours)
