Marissa Ellis, Intern
As a counseling intern, I approach therapy with a deep respect for the inherent dignity of every individual and a belief that each person’s story deserves to be heard and understood. I see it as a true privilege to walk alongside clients in their journeys of healing, growth, and transformation. My work is grounded in the belief that every person is called to flourish, and I am committed to creating a compassionate, supportive space where clients can explore their experiences and move toward that fullness.
My therapeutic approach is individualized and tailored to each client’s unique needs, integrating a variety of evidence-based practices. I strive to meet clients where they are, drawing from different modalities to support meaningful and lasting change. As a trauma-informed clinician, I am attentive to the impact of past experiences and aim to foster a safe environment where clients can heal, grow, and thrive. For those who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling, incorporating faith-based perspectives alongside clinical approaches.
I enjoy working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, supporting those who feel they aren’t operating at their full potential. I also work with couples using an attachment-based lens, incorporating Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman Method techniques to help strengthen connection and communication. Whether you are seeking support through a difficult season, working toward personal growth, or hoping to strengthen your relationships, I am here to walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and care.
